Jorge Daboub is senior vice president of Business Development for Univision Communications, Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America. With over 25 years of marketing and sales experience with expertise in the U.S. Hispanic consumer, Daboub co-leads a team of seasoned marketing and sales veterans who consult with senior marketing and C-Suite executives across industries to help them understand and harness the power of the U.S. Hispanic consumer. The team’s capabilities include Hispanic brand building, strategic planning, research, consumer insights, marketing, advertising and media. Daboub also leads a number of category verticals for Univision including finance, e-commerce, health & wellness, consumer electronics, and movie and gaming. Daboub has played an important role in the Company’s efforts to promote good health behavior among U.S. Hispanic audiences. He was part of the team that spearheaded the development, launch, and progression of Univision’s Corporate Health Initiative, “Salud es Vida” (Lead a Healthy Life), for which he received a Congressional Commendation. Daboub also created and managed other platforms including Univision Television Group’s financial literacy platform, Cuentas Claras (Clear Finances).

Daboub currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of UCI’s Center for Global Leadership at the Paul Merage School of Business, USC’s Annenberg Norman Lear Center Hollywood, Health, and Society program, is an Advisory Board Member of the NCLR/CSULB Center for Latino Community Health Evaluation and Leadership Training, and has served numerous organizations including the American Diabetes’ “Latino Diabetes Action Council” (LDAC), as well as Merrill Lynch’s Hispanic Advisory Council. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Forsyth Health Foundation, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pan American Health and Education Foundation (PAHEF), and Board of Directors member of the Consumer Health Products Association.

Daboub has also been featured as a panelist expert on the Hispanic market for the Federal Trade Commission’s Food Marketing to Kids workshop; the Bi-national Symposium on Obesity hosted by the University of California, Office of the President and the Mexican Government; the California Governor’s Summit on Health, Nutrition and Obesity; the Institute of Medicine’s Symposium – “Progress in Prevention of Childhood Obesity: Focus on Industry”; panel moderator at the Mental Health Care Disparities Symposium at UC Davis; and has also participated in numerous health, pharma, education, and finance related symposiums.
